November 2006 Meeting Information

November 14, 2006
Using Aspect-Oriented Programming in Your Java Applications

Aspect-Oriented Programming (AOP) is one of the main "legs" in the Spring triangle. In many software applications, there are code modules such as authentication, logging, security, etc. that are repeated throughout the application. These are known as "cross-cutting concerns." AOP is a programming paradigm that addresses the issue of cross-cutting concerns by developing aspects that "weave" themselves into POJOs. Examples from the Spring framework AOP module and AspectJ will be reviewed as an introduction to AOP.

Meetings are held every second Tuesday of the month at the Scotch Plains Rescue Squad second floor meeting hall starting promptly at 7:30pm. Meetings are open to the public, and visitors are encouraged to join ACGNJ.
