An Introduction to Interactive Programming for the Internet of Things

This month, Bob Lutz will explore development of applications that use the Arduino Platform, an open-source electronics prototyping platform. More specifically he will:
  • consider Arduino's history, goals and background
  • cover key definitions, concepts and programming tools
  • summarize steps to get from getting started to having something running
  • provide real world examples
  • provide live development and demonstration

Bob will also explore integration and data exchange of Arduino applications with device-based applications and web services. An example using Android and Pachube will be presented and discussed.

The presentation will provide relevant background and include discussion of ideas and issues.

A few interesting puzzlers will also be provided for new and intermediate developers!

Meetings are held every second Tuesday of the month at the Scotch Plains Rescue Squad second floor meeting hall starting promptly at 7:30pm. Meetings are open to the public, and visitors are encouraged to join ACGNJ.
