This month, we welcome Ken Rimple, Director of Education Services from Chariot Solutions, who will make a presentation on Spring Roo.
Spring Roo is a tool that helps developers build Spring-based applications rapidly.
Using AspectJ, annotations, and a command-line/IDE shell, Roo generates your Spring configuration files, installs major features such as Spring MVC, WebFlow, Flex, GWT, JMS, e-mail and JPA in a matter of seconds.
Roo has a central add-on directory, and a lot of interest from within the Spring community.
Come see Ken give an overview of the current state of the tool and discuss topics such as persistence/JPA and database reverse engineering, user interface development, and integration with RIAs.
