Android and the Internet of Things |
In the Internet of Things (IoT), everyday objects are smart and they're networked. RFID tags, Fitbit watches, connected vehicles, and Nest thermostats all belong to the Internet of Things. Internet-connected clothing is only a few years away. (Beam me up, Scotty!) |
Google has recently unveiled the Android Things SDK, in which the Android operating system forms the backbone for IoT development. In this presentation, Barry will demonstrate how Android Things controls the Pimoroni Rainbow HAT on an i.MX7Dual development board. He will make an LED light blink (big deal!), sense the ambient temperature, and perform some cool image recognition tricks. |
